Clinical Focus
Our centers will focus initially on gastric banding procedures. Since the FDA approved the Lap-Band® in June 2001, the procedure has become a growing part of the treatment of obesity in this country. Lap-Band® procedures are increasingly being understood as a superior, flexible surgical treatment. As additional treatments for morbid obesity are approved in an outpatient setting by the FDA, our centers will continue to provide critical clinical leadership.
The center we develop together will also provide the critical support areas for patients suffering from morbid obesity, including exercise consulting, nutritional counseling and psychological support. We believe it is important to develop a facility that will be a resource for the patient beyond their initial surgery. We intend to design our facility to include a convenient area for post-operative band adjustments as necessary. Working closely with your office, the center staff will handle all pre-operative testing and post-operative follow-up.
Marketing Focus

In this country, less than one-half of 1% of all candidates for bariatric surgery is opting for the procedure. We believe that proper marketing, combined with the reputation that comes with excellent clinical results, can attract a significant portion of those candidates who, for various reasons, have not chosen surgery.
Together, we will bring patients to our center through our complete marketing program. We will reach potential patients via a variety of direct and mass marketing programs, including direct mail, newspapers, broadcast and the Internet. Our call center's well-trained staff will qualify potential patients based on location, patient condition and financial options.
